On this self-drive adventure, take to the open road and discover the famous sights of South Iceland whilst staying at the fabulous Hotel Rangá. Relax in the healing waters of the Blue Lagoon, explore the Golden Circle with it's bubbling mud pools and icy waterfalls, venture onto the black-sand beach in Vik, and after dark keep a look out for the colourful Aurora Borealis, which lights up the northern skies every year from September to March.

Day 1 | Arrive in Iceland

Arrive in Iceland and on your way to Hotel Rangá stop at the Blue Lagoon. Soak in the geothermal waters, known for their healing and well-being qualities rich in active ingredients including algae, natural minerals, and the Lagoon's signature ingredient - white silica mud. Continue to the hotel and dine in the restaurant in the evening on your first night in Iceland.

Day 2 | The Golden Circle

Enjoy a full day independently exploring the sights of the famous Golden Circle route. Discover Thingvellir National Park, see mighty Gullfoss waterfall and witness Strokkur Geysir erupt 20 metres into the sky. Continue into the town of Flúðir and take a dip in the Secret Lagoon. Return to the hotel for dinner in the evening and step outside when darkness falls to search for the Northern Lights.

Day 3 | Katla Volcano & Myrdalsjokull Glacier Tour

Continue south today and admire the sights on your way to Vik. Stop to see Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls, take a stroll along the world-famous black-sand lava beach at Reynisfjara and enjoy the views from Cape Dyrholaey. From Vik join a tour to Katla Volcano and Myrdalsjokull glacier to visit some of Iceland's most impressive natural ice caves before returning to the hotel to dine in the evening.

Day 4 | Departure Day

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and either choose to visit some of the sights of the Reykjanes Peninsula such as Krysuvík geothermal area and Gunnuhver hot spring. Perhaps head to the quirky capital city before returning the hire car and your departure from Iceland.
