Holiday Idea

Meet Johan and Eva Stenevad, your hosts and the proud owners of Lapland Guesthouse. Tucked away in the tiny village of Kangos in Swedish Lapland, life at the guesthouse is a real family affair. Johan, Eva and their two sons are in love with the life they have created in Kangos, which has been their home for over 25 years. Embark on outdoor adventures in the glittering wilderness.

Day 1 | Arrive in Sweden

Transfer to Lapland Guesthouse where your hosts Johan and Eva will be waiting to welcome you into their heartland. Settle in for your four-night stay. Enjoy dinner in the main house in the evening. After dark, step outside to see if the northern lights are dancing in the sky.

Day 2 | Reindeer Visit

This morning, you’ll travel through the snowy forest by snowmobile to visit wild reindeer. Spend time with the wandering reindeer, enjoy an outdoor lunch and learn from Johan how reindeer herding traditions have changed over time and experience the silence of being in the great outdoors in the heart of Swedish Lapland.

Day 3 | Dog Sledding

Today, head out on husky safari into the snowy wilderness. Return to the guesthouse for dinner and in the evening venture outside after dark to search for the northern lights. You will travel in a sled behind Johan. You will be served hot drinks and cake whilst you gaze at the night sky above.

Day 4 | Ice Fishing

After breakfast, you’ll get ready for an ice fishing trip which includes lunch cooked outside on an open fire. Learn how to make a hole in the ice and fish whilst enjoying the peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Return to the guesthouse in the afternoon. Why not relax in the sauna and outdoor hot tub before dinner in the main house?

Day 5 | Departure Day

Transfer back to the airport for your departure flight.
