Tromso Ice Domes

Every autumn, a team works tirelessly to construct the Tromso Ice Domes.  Being fully surrounded with ice comes with its chilly challenges, however, reindeer skins and polar expedition sleeping bags allow guests to be wrapped in warmth.

Take one step away from civilization and another closer to true Scandinavian nature. Tromso Ice Domes allow for full submersion into the depth of Norweigan winters. Constructed every autumn between mountains at heights of 1200m, these domes are truly hidden away from the city hustle and bustle. With new themes running through the ice every winter season, no two years are the same.

The exclusivity is what truly sets these ice domes apart from other ice hotels. With only several rooms, you would only have to share this arctic masterpiece with a handful of other guests. From the moment you arrive, you will be met by your guide who will be at hand for all your needs. After being shown your room, you'll make your way to the Ice Bar where you'll receive a complementary icy drink.  

In the evening, your guide will take you on a true adventure - the hunt for the Northern Lights. Your snowshoes will help you make your way across the snowy terrain and into the depths of the valley. Upon your trek, your guide will inform you of animal tracks and give you a history of the area. 

Once you are back at the Ice Domes, you will settle into bed and snuggle under reindeer skins and polar expedition sleeping bags. Wake the next day for plenty more adventures such as exploring the ice cinema or embarking on a dog-sledding experience.
