Day 1 | Arrive in the Faroe Islands

Arrive in the Faroe Islands and collect your rental car at Vágar Airport. Begin your adventure with a visit to Lake Sørvágsvatn, the largest in the islands, and hike to the dramatic Trælanípa cliff, where the lake appears to hover above the sea. Continue to the postcard-perfect villages of Bøur and Gásadalur, where the magnificent Múlafossur Waterfall plunges into the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy the island’s tranquil atmosphere before settling in for your first night amid the awe-inspiring beauty of the Faroes.

Day 2 | Vestmanna Bird Cliffs & Mykines Sunset Hike

Start your day with a breathtaking boat tour to the Vestmanna Bird Cliffs, where towering sea stacks host colonies of puffins and guillemots. In the evening, take the ferry to Mykines, the westernmost island, for a sunset hike with a local guide. Wander along scenic cliffs dotted with puffins and soak in sweeping views of the North Atlantic. As the sun sets, the island glows in golden light, creating unforgettable photo opportunities. Spend the night on Mykines, surrounded by peace, seabirds, and the sound of the ocean.

Day 3 | Sandoy

Sail back to Vágar in the morning and drive south to Sandoy, known for its gentle landscapes and traditional Faroese charm. Take the ferry across and settle in for a two-night stay. Spend the afternoon exploring the island’s quaint villages, serene lakes, and black-sand beaches. Visit Dalur and Sandur, where colorful turf-roofed houses dot the landscape, and learn about local traditions. Sandoy’s peaceful setting and slower pace offer a perfect contrast to the dramatic cliffs of the northern islands.

Day 4 | Guided Birdwatching on Skúvoy

After breakfast, join your guide for an early-morning sailing to Skúvoy, a sanctuary for thousands of seabirds and a vital site for Faroese bird conservation. Depart Sandoy at 08:30 and enjoy the scenic voyage. Once ashore, embark on a guided hike through lush green hills, spotting puffins, kittiwakes, and Arctic terns along the way. Learn about the island’s unique ecology and cultural history before sailing back in the afternoon. Return to Sandoy in time for a relaxing evening, surrounded by untouched island tranquility.

Day 5 | Nólsoy Storm Petrel Expedition

Drive to Tórshavn, the Faroese capital, and take the public ferry to nearby Nólsoy. In the evening, join a local ornithologist for an unforgettable late-night Storm Petrel field trip. At 11 p.m., begin your guided walk to the world’s largest storm petrel colony—over 200,000 nesting pairs. The walk to the colony can take up to one hour, ending beneath the dramatic cliffs of Nolsoy's lone mountain - the lowest summit in the Faroes. Witness the research up close, gently holding and studying the tiny seabirds before releasing them into the night. By 3 a.m., as dawn breaks, return quietly to the village—an extraordinary encounter few ever experience.

Day 6 | Rest & Relaxation on Nólsoy

After a late night with the storm petrels, take today to unwind and enjoy the peaceful rhythm of Nólsoy. Sleep in, then spend the day exploring the island’s picturesque village, visiting the local museum, or walking along coastal paths with panoramic views of Tórshavn across the strait. Stop by a cozy café or meet friendly locals for a glimpse of daily life on this serene island. Nólsoy’s unhurried pace and natural beauty provide the perfect pause in your Faroese adventure.

Day 7 | Tórshavn Sightseeing

Return to Tórshavn and spend the day discovering the cultural heart of the Faroe Islands. Wander through the historic Tinganes district with its red wooden houses, explore the Nordic House and National Gallery, and browse boutique shops and local craft studios. Enjoy coffee in a harborside café or sample fresh seafood in one of the capital’s excellent restaurants. Stroll along the waterfront, soaking in the charm of one of the world’s smallest yet most captivating capitals before concluding your unforgettable Faroese journey
