If you like to relax, but find it easier to do so when your're being active, then this holiday is definitely for you!

Voss is a lakeside town, located directly in-between Sognefjord and Hardangerfjord - a perfect location to get to and from, but also to get out and about! Where Voss and environs really come into their own, are as a base for outdoor activities, with white-water rafting, mountain biking, kayaking, and hiking all being readily available and included in this holiday!

Voss makes a fantastic two-centre combination with Bergen, the Gateway to the Fjords and Norway's Hanseatic city. Bergen is perfect for exploring easily on foot, by bike or during a guided mountain hike.

Itinerary

Day 1 | Arrive Voss

Transfer to Bergen Station, where you board the Bergen Line train for the short journey to Voss, overlooking Lake Vang. Transfer to your design hotel and whitewater rafting basecamp for the next three nights. Check-in and enjoy dinner in the restaurant during evening.

Day 2 | Mountain Biking, RIB Boat Safari, Sea Kayaking & Scenic Bus Ride

A full day of active exploration in one of Norway's most famous fjord regions. A short journey on the Bergen Line train to Myrdal where you continue by mountain bike, descending the valley, to the tiny village of Flåm. Continue with an exhilarating journey by RIB boat along the Aurlands and Nærøy fjords and then swap to a sea kayak with time for a delicious beach BBQ. Your day ends with a scenic bus ride through the Nærøy Valley back to Voss. A spectacular day of activity and breathtaking scenery.

Day 3 | Whitewater Rafting & Relaxing Hot-Tub

Embark on a thrilling whitewater rafting activity on the mighty Stranda or Rauna Rivers. The rafts each carry six people plus your experienced rafting guide; expect spectacular rapids on both rivers, fantastic scenery and a real adrenaline rush! Time for refreshments in-between runs, plus the chance to take a little swim, before returning to basecamp. Luxuriate with an outdoor hot-tub session before a well-earned lunch in Elvatun Cafe.

Day 4 | Departure Day

Today you will return to Bergen by rail with the opportunity to store your luggage and explore Bergen on foot, before your private transfer to Bergen Airport.

Bergen is a picturesque coastal city known for the colourful wooden wharf buildings in Bryggen - an ancient trading harbour which is UNESCO listed. If you only have a few hours to spare we suggest lunch in one of the numerous independent cafes or the Fish Market, perhaps with a glass of crisp wine.
