Day 1 | Arrive in Helsinki

Arrive in Helsinki and transfer to Hotel St George for your overnight stay. After settling in we recommend exploring Finland’s stylish winter capital. Wander the snow-dusted streets and discover cosy cafés, world-class museums and the vibrant Design District. Warm up in the Allas Sea Pool saunas or enjoy panoramic views and exquisite cocktails from a rooftop bar.

Day 2 | Arrive in Finnish Lapland & Glass Igloo Stay

Arrive in the Finnish town of Ivalo and transfer to Aurora Queen Resort. Relax in your luxurious glass roofed igloo and indulge in the sauna and hot tub. Savour a Nordic dinner at the Aurora Queen restaurant in the evening.

Day 3 | Aurora Snowmobiling Adventure

Wake up in a snow-laden paradise and spend the day relaxing around the tranquil pine forests. Embark on a thrilling snowmobile expedition into the wilderness. Navigate your snowmobile through the serene, snow-covered forests and admire the awe-inspiring dance of the northern lights that may be flickering overhead.

Day 4 | Ice Karting & Luxury Panorama Cabin Stay

Brace yourself for the ultimate driving adventure. Get ready to unleash your inner racer and elevate your skills to conquer the icy terrain. A transfer will bring you to wonderful Wilderness Hotel Nangu where you will settle into the beautiful panorama log cabin. Warm up by the crackling fireplace or indulge in the soothing heat of a private sauna. End the day with a delicious Lappish meal in the log lined restaurant.

Day 5 | Husky Safari & Reindeer Day

Begin your day with an enchanting journey from Nangu to a Sámi Village. Prepare for a delightful encounter with both reindeers and husky dogs. Gain a fascinating insight into the Sámi Culture and immerse yourself in the world of the majestic reindeers. Embark on an exhilarating husky safari through breath-taking winter landscapes and the frozen splendour of Lake Inari. In the evening, unwind and relax in the private sauna and hot tub before dinner.

Day 6 | Snowshoe Hike

Head out on a gentle guided snowshoe walk into the surrounding wilderness. The forest is a beautiful winter wonderland and the silence surrounds you. Indulge in the interesting stories shared by your guide about the Finnish nature and animals. In the evening relax and unwind in the warming sauna and as darkness falls, keep a watchful eye for the northern lights that may be swirling overhead.

Day 7 | Homeward Bound

Transfer to Ivalo airport. Bid farewell to the beauty of Finnish Lapland and start your departure journey home.

What's included

  • Private and shared transfers throughout.
  • One night at Hotel St George in Helsinki based on a Serenity Studio including daily buffet breakfast and full spa access.
  • Two nights at Aurora Queen Resort based on a luxurious glass-roof igloo with a double bed, private bathroom and a Nespresso coffee machine with coffee capsules. 
  • Half board at Aurora Queen
  • Three nights at Wilderness Hotel Nangu based on a Panorama Log Cabin (ensuite shower and WC, private sauna and private hot-tub on the veranda. Seating area and large electric fireplace).
  • Full-board at Wilderness Hotel Nangu (breakfast, lunch and dinner) starting with dinner on arrival day and ending with breakfast on the morning of check-out. 
  • Guided aurora camp evening. Sit in a sleigh, pulled by the guide's snowmobile, to an area away from any light pollution. Hot drinks are included around a roaring campfire. Duration 2½ hours
  • Guided husky and reindeer day. Feed and learn about the local reindeer population, and why they are such an important part of Sami history and culture. Based on two people sharing a husky sled (musher and passenger) with the opportunity to swap around midway. Lunch is included. Duration 4 to 6 hours.
  • Guided snowshoeing adventure. Explore the varied terrain on foot - from the frozen surface of Lake Inari to the forest and hills rising from the shoreline. Lunch and warm drinks are included around an open fire. Duration 4 hours.
  • Ice karting. The ultimate driving adventure just north of the Arctic Circle. (Winter overalls, helmets, warm shoes, woolen socks, balaclava, gloves and goggles) are provided. Duration 1 hour.
  • Aurora snowmobiling expedition into the wilderness in search of the northern lights. Thermal clothing (boots, jacket, snow pants, helmet, balaclava and gloves) are provided. Duration 4 hours.
