Jam-packed with Arctic adventures, this four-night itinerary includes an overnight stay in an eco-hut located on iconic Lake Inari – a perfect experience for Aurora hunters. Learn how to drive your own team of huskies, head off on a snowmobile adventure after dark, visit a local reindeer farm and enjoy a gentle walk in beautiful snowy surroundings.
Itinerary
Day 1 | Arrive in Finland
Arrive in Finnish Lapland, you will be transferred to Wilderness Hotel Nangu. Settle into your Panoramic Log Cabin and watch the night sky whilst relaxing in your own private sauna.
Day 2 | Snowmobiling
Fully immerse yourself in Finnish Lapland by exploring the untouched wilderness by snowmobile. Return to relax in your own private hot-tub and sauna - and perhaps make angels in the snow in true Finnish style!
Day 3 | Husky & Reindeer Day
Visit a traditional husky farm where you will meet your enthusiastic dog team! You will be taught how to handle your dog sled before setting off with your furry team mates and gliding between snow laden trees. Later, meet reindeer and learn about the Sámi way of life. During the evening search for the northern lights by snowmobile.
Day 4 | Aurora Hut
From the frozen surface of Lake Inari, to the enchanting forest, your guide will take you snowshoeing across all terrains. This true eco-activity is perfect for getting closer to the nature around you. Tonight, you will stay in an Aurora Hut, which sits on the frozen surface of Lake Inari - a truly unique experience.
Day 5 | Departure Day
Bid farewell to Finnish Lapland and transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

- Return transfer by mini-bus from Ivalo Airport to Wilderness Hotel Nangu.
- 3-night stay in a Panorama Log Cabin complete with double bed, living room area (with electric fire), kitchenette, ensuite bathroom with sauna and a private veranda with hot-tub.
- 1-night stay in a Lake Inari Aurora Cabin complete with double bed, large glass windows with a view of the frozen lake and dark night skies and an ensuite eco-toilet. Sauna and showers are located in the main lodge building.
- Guided 3-hour husky safari based on two people per dog-sled (musher and passenger) with the opportunity to swap around midway. Includes transfer to the husky farm.
- Guided 1.5-hour visit to a reindeer farm to meet and feed the reindeer and learn about life for the Sámi people, who have herded their reindeer in the region for thousands of years.
- Guided 4-hour snowmobile safari based on two people per snowmobile (driver and passenger) with the opportunity to swap around midway. Includes campfire lunch and warm drinks.
- Guided 2-hour snowshoe walk in the winter wonderland surroundings to learn about Finnish nature and wildlife. Includes a hot drink.
- Guided 2.5-hour search for the northern lights by snowmobile - based on two per snowmobile - including hot drinks.
- All meals - breakfast, lunch and 3-course dinner - starting with dinner on day of arrival and ending with breakfast on morning of departure.
- Winter outer clothing (thermal overalls, boots, gloves and hat) for the duration of stay.
