Arctic Retreat

The experience at Arctic Retreat is centred on connection to nature, to culture, and to the local community. With a maximum of just 10 guests at any one time, personal service is at the heart of everything. The hosts welcome you as if into their home, sharing their arctic lifestyle and deep knowledge of the region.
Cuisine is an essential part of the stay. 

Meals are prepared using only the finest local and seasonal ingredients –  fish, local game, berries, mushrooms and vegetables – with recipes inspired by both Swedish and Sámi traditions. Meals are enjoyed communally in a cosy dining lodge or sometimes outdoors over an open fire.

The seasons shape the experiences. In summer, paddle the river by kayak, hike through ancient forests, or try your hand at fly fishing. In winter, explore the snowy landscape by dogsled, snowshoes or Nordic skis, or simply relax in the warmth of your cabin. Wellness offerings such as yoga, traditional Swedish massage, and the riverside sauna add a further dimension of calm.
