Surrounded by nature, Tromso is the stepping-off point for unending Arctic adventure. Combine nights in the city searching for the northern lights after dark with a stay at the stunning Arctic Panorama Lodge - a remote retreat with just six cosy rooms, a fully-licensed bar, a roaring log fire, and large panoramic windows facing the fjords and mountains. Unwind in the quiet of the Arctic wilderness and enjoy dog sledding and whale watching with experienced guides.
Day 1 | Arrive in Norway & Arctic Panorama Lodge
Arrive in Norway and transfer to Arctic Panorama Lodge. Located at the heart of Northern Norway's fjords, this remote lodge is a superb boutique retreat surrounded by mountains reflecting the Arctic Ocean. Guests are encouraged to relax and get close to nature. After dark, watch for the northern lights from the lodge's panoramic windows.
Day 2 | Whale Watching
Today enjoy a guided whale watching adventure. Spend the day witnessing beautiful humpback whales and orcas in their natural habitat aboard a heated cabin. When you return, perhaps indulge in the lodge’s very own spa and enjoy a drink from the bar in front of the panoramic windows and await the northern lights.
Day 3 | Dog Sledding
After breakfast, meet a team of friendly Alaskan huskies for a tour of the Norwegian wilderness by dogsled. Drive your own team of dogs across the Arctic tundra or sit back and let an experienced guide take the reins. Travel off the beaten track and explore the unspoiled natural surroundings before stopping for hot drinks and snacks.
Day 4 | Storytelling & Northern Lights Evening
Spend today relaxing in the quiet of the Arctic wilderness or pre-book an optional excursion. In the evening you’ll sit inside a traditional Lavuu tent and learn about the history of the indigenous Sami people of the north. Later, gather around a campfire to hunt for the northern lights.
Day 5 | Tromso Sightseeing & Aurora Safari Camp
Transfer back to Tromso today - one of the best places in the world to see the northern lights. Check in to your hotel for a three-night stay. Spend the afternoon exploring the city. Perhaps visit the Arctic Catherdral or Polar Museum. In the evening embark on an Aurora Safari and travel through the Arctic wilderness to a basecamp to enjoy a hot meal and a campfire. Northern lights sightings here are exceptionally high.
Day 6 | Arctic Fjord Cruise
