Now the proud owner of a beautifully renovated lighthouse by the sea, and her own adventure company, Hege loves nothing more that to show people the sights of her homeland. Travel with Hege on foot, by kayak and along the open road and discover the wild coastal landscapes of Norway's second largest island, Senja - one of the country's best kept secrets.

Day 1 | Arrive in Norway

Arrive in Norway and transfer to the beautiful island of Senja. Norway's second largest island, a lush green inland juxtaposes the wildly breathtaking coast. Continue to the lighthouse by the sea where you will stay for two nights.

Day 2 | Kayaking Trip

After breakfast in the lighthouse, head to the nearby boathouse at 9am to meet Hege and get ready for a day of kayaking. Guided by Hege, pass through peaceful waters where towering mountains emerge in the distance. Return after a day of learning about life on the island and enjoy dinner. Overnight in the lighthouse.

Day 3 | Hiking

Today, you'll discover the southern tip of the islands. There are many beautiful mountain peaks to choose from for a hike and the weather will help decide which is best to visit. Winding coastal paths will take you to picture-perefect viewpoints. Perhaps stop for a picnic overlooking the untouched landscape. In the evening, enjoy a three course meal and an overnight stay at Senja Fjordhotell.

Day 4 | Norwegian Scenic Route

Today after breakfast, you will head out to explore the stunning Norwegian Scenic Route on the island of Senja. You will be driven along the island's west coast, where charming islets, flowing fjords and plunging mountains await. Stop for lunch and take in the incredible scenery before returning to Senja Fjordhotell. Enjoy a three-course meal this evening.

Day 5 | Departure Day

Transfer back to the ferry terminal at Finnsnes and sail back to Tromso for your departure flight.
