Holiday Idea

Take in the stylish sights of Sweden's capital city before flying north to spend two nights in the treetops at the world-famous Treehotel. Enjoy Stockholm's architecture; from the bright coloured houses at Stortorget (the city's historical square) to the City Hall. Once the city's highlights have been explored, travel north for days high in the treetops, 50km south of the Arctic Circle.

Itinerary

Day 2 | Cobblestone's, Cafes, and Winter Light

Winter in Stockholm feels like stepping into a storybook. Begin in Gamla Stan, where cobbled lanes wind between ochre façades dusted with snow and the Royal Palace rises over the square. Drift across the water to Djurgården, where grand museums and quiet parkland offer a peaceful escape. As the chill settles in, slip into a candlelit café for fika, the Swedish ritual of coffee and pastries savoured slowly. Later, explore Södermalm’s boutiques before an intimate dinner of seasonal Nordic flavours at one of the city's wonderful restaurants.

Day 3 | Lapland Nights Beneath the Northern Sky

Fly north to Luleå, where a private transfer carries you deep into the forests of Swedish Lapland. Here, the world-famous Treehotel awaits - - a collection of extraordinary treetop dwellings suspended high among the pines. Designed with imagination and respect for nature, each cabin blends modern comfort with eco-friendly materials and sustainable energy, leaving the lightest of footprints on the wilderness. As night falls, step outside into the stillness of the forest, where with luck, the northern lights may dance across the star-flecked sky.

Day 4 | Mushing Through Forests and Traditional Swedish Spa

Awake in the treetops, where snow-laden pines surround your cabin and soft morning light filters through the forest. After a hearty breakfast at the main house, wrap up warm and set out on an exhilarating husky safari, gliding across frozen landscapes as the dogs race eagerly through the silence of the snow. Return to your hideaway and spend the afternoon unwinding at a slower pace, alternating between the soothing heat of the sauna and the steaming outdoor hot-tub, watching icy branches sparkle against the crisp northern sky.
