Itinerary
Day 1 | Arrive Sweden and Kládesholmen
Arrive in Sweden and drive to the beautiful Bohuslän Coast and the island of Klädesholmen. Check in to Sweden's first floating hotel, Salt & Sill where you will stay for four nights. Why not enjoy dinner in the hotel's restaurant in the evening or ask us about our favourite restaurants on the coast.
Day 2 | Explore Marstrand & Smögen
Take in the sights of the Bohuslän Coast. The chain of islands are linked to one another by a series of bridges and short ferry crossings. Marstrand, with its impressive fortress and ancient buildings and perfect spots for swimming and sailing; Smögen, a popular summer destination with a delightful mix of shops and boutiques in old seafront wooden houses.
Day 3 | Explore Fjellbäcka
Explore the charming village of Fjellbäcka, the setting for the popular Nordic Noir books from author Camilla Läckberg. The Nordic Watercolour Museum, Pilane Sculpture Park and Nordens Ark (local wildlife conservation project) are all close by.
Day 4 | Bohuslän by Kayak
There is no better way to explore the coast than by kayak. Kayak rental, for independent exploring, or guided kayak tours (full or half day) are available directly from Salt & Sill. Speak to us for details and recommendations.
Day 5 | Arrive in Gothenburg
Leave the calming islands for the lively city of Gothenburg. Check in to Hotel Eggers for two nights, a beautiful, historical building dating back to 1859.
Day 6 | Explore Gothenburg
Gothenburg has an appealing ability to mix the old with the new seamlessly. Enjoy a day of exploring, from magnificent 17th century fortresses and well-preserved timber buildings to the modern quayside and contemporary Opera House which overlooks the waterfront.
Day 7 | Departure Day
Check out of your hotel this morning and transfer to the airport for your departure plans.
